Ati-Atihan Festival

In Kalibo, Aklan the most popular Festival here in the Paradise Philippines is celebrated and also one of the oldest and that is Ati-Atihan Festival. It is celebrated annually in the third Sunday of January. This traditional Fiesta is a tribute to their patron saint Santo Niño.

They flood the streets with their body painted black and bright costumes, it is to have said that its the wildest among the Paradise Philippines Festivals.

Before starting the prestigious event, there is a series of masses to be held for the Santo Niño or the Holy Child. The highlight of the festival is on the last day, with costumes of different elements like bamboo, leaves, feathers, shells, abaca, flowers, and many more.

They parade the Holy Child or Santo Niño with different outfits, and the winners of the said contest will be announced on the masquerade ball that signifies the end of the festival.

Chocolate Hills

It is considered the Eight Wonder of the World, with its beauty it is also declared as the 3rd National Geological Monument. Estimated to be at least 1,268 to 1,776 individual mounds, these are actually grass-covered limestone hills which are cone-shaped or dome-shape hills. Rising to about 100 to 500 meters above sea level. It is to have said that it is a man made marvel, but proven wrong. It is actually a formed by sub-oceanic volcanoes and the up-lift of the sea floor, but what ever the reason is, were still glad that it happen here in the beautiful land of Paradise Philippines.

Tarsier

An Endangered species here in the Philippines, it is mostly found in the southeastern part of the archipelago, particularly in the provinces of Bohol, Samar, Leyte, and Mindanao, Philippines. It is said to be one of the oldest living land specie here in the Paradise Philippines.

This tiny animal only measures about 4 to 6 inches or 15 cm in height, the average body mass of this animal is around 134 grams for the male and 117 grams for the female. The average size of and adult is just the size of a human fist, and fits comfortably in a human hand

Panglao

is a province of Bohol, Philippines. It comprises of two municipalities, Panglao and Dauis.

Panglao is a world class diving location because it is home to numerous tourist resorts, the diving sites are found in the northwest tip of the Panglao Island and these are Doljo Beach, Napaling and Puntod, these are deep and the current here is strong.

You can never expect that there is such a place in the world like the Philippines. But there is, and I, as a Filipino living in this paradise, there is no one that can force me to leave it.
